About us

Surrounded by 18 acres of beautiful grass pastures, and access to over 200 acres of trails. Transitions Equestrian Center is a top-notch facility conveniently located just minutes from La Porte, Indiana, and New Buffalo, Michigan.

Transitions is a full-service equestrian facility that offers premium care by a customer-orientated staff. We aim to provide a warm and friendly atmosphere for both horse and rider. Transitions is dedicated to excellence in education by providing a quality facility with first-rate staff. We offer exceptional care, superb amenities and an excellent training and lesson program from beginning to upper-level levels. All instruction is based on a combination of classical/natural horsemanship and equine psychology. Transitions has an outstanding, extremely diverse, and talented group of instructors that have performed, taught, and competed internationally! Trainers cover from colt starting (and "problem solving") to upper levels in all English and Western disciplines. Transitions also offer several clinics from world-renowned clinicians from all disciplines throughout the year!

Our beautiful facility offers a large lounge with kitchen amenities, a bunk room for overnight stays, 44 stalls, a 150' x 90' indoor, 240' x 140' outdoor arena, 60' round pen, 3 heated wash racks, 2 outdoor wash racks with hot and cold water, 5 tack rooms, 13 large pastures, daily turnout, full care and much more! Transitions has a full 20x60 outdoor dressage arena, a beautiful jump set, and an outdoor obstacle course for our guests to enjoy.
