About This Facility

Basic Board: $650-stall, $500-pasture. Are you a mature adult amateur who rides dressage, trail rides, or likes to do low level jumping? Someone who doesn't show who is looking to join a quiet, beautiful, private, peaceful, drama-free facility that feels like your own with a few other wonderful women who board here long term? Or, someone looking for retirement board for your special horse where he will get top-notch care and lots of attention? New Horizons Farm LLC, home of New Horizons Haflinger Sporthorses, is a private breeding farm with a few boarders on ten beautiful acres averaging nine horses on premises.

New Horizons Farm LLC is located just outside East Lansing in Bath, Michigan on a paved road just a few miles from horse trails, @20 minutes from MSU and a few miles from I69.

What we offer:
🐎Pasture boarders have use of all amenities just like stall boarders
🐎Outside insured trainers welcome (We currently have two dressage trainers--one of whom was a former eventer--giving lessons to some boarders and training our horses.)
🐎All new horses quarantined for two to four weeks upon arrival
🐎Spacious 60 x 120 indoor arena (no dust!) well-maintained with excellent footing (2NS sand over limestone fines, compacted) treated for dust, and with high ceilings for those who jump
🐎 @70 x @200 outdoor grass arena with old footing from indoor underneath so it has excellent drainage
🐎Dry lots available
🐎Private/individual paddocks with run-ins available
🐎Private paddock with attached stall available for lay ups or individual board
🐎Minis welcome (Mini board is same price.)
🐎Most of farm is tiled and has excellent drainage
🐎Excellent quality grass (or grass/alfalfa mix) hay fed (We have had the same square bale hay suppliers for years.)
🐎Excellent quality round bales with Hay Chix hay nets fed in winter in sheds so horses have hay while outside 24/7 at all times
🐎Drop down hay chix hay nets going up in boarders' stalls this spring
🐎Stalls cleaned every day, including holidays
🐎Barn open to boarders every day, including holidays
🐎Boarder horses turned out in groups of two to four
🐎Stalled horses get @ 12 hours turnout every day
🐎Quiet, peaceful, DRAMA-FREE barn with just a few outside horses
🐎Owner lives on premises and has almost thirty years experience breeding, raising, showing horses
🐎Multiple paddocks and pastures with SAFE fencing, some with three and four board fence and others with coated wire/electric, almost all with large run in three sided sheds
🐎Winter paddocks have extra large/extra tall 24 x 12 three sided steel run in sheds
🐎New Ritchie automatic heated waterers and heated water tubs in paddocks
🐎 Bucket cozies used in barn in winter
🐎Hay feeders used outside to keep hay off ground and have minimal waste
🐎Outdoor wash rack
🐎Ten stall horse barn with insulated roof has six 12 x 12 spacious, bright, matted stalls with large windows and four @10 x 12 stalls that easily convert into double stalls for foaling
🐎Combo ceiling fans/LED lights with three settings in every stall
🐎Additional large, barn-safe fans if needed during summer
🐎Attached 18 x 32 heated and humidity controlled two story addition for tack/lounge area downstairs with fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker with coffee, hot chocolate, cider, tea provided
🐎Snacks, water and pop always available free of charge
🐎Upstairs has office and bathroom
🐎Horse friendly community with miles of dirt roads to ride on
🐎Just a few miles to Rose Lake riding trails and Sleepy Hollow State Park riding trails
🐎Excellent farrier and vet services available or use your own
🐎Owner provided grain and supplements fed
🐎Feed through fly deterrent (Solitude IGF) fed to all horses in summer at no additional charge
🐎Pelleted bedding used in well-bedded stalls
🐎 Whole house generator, so you never have to worry about the horses being without water, electric, etc.
🐎Sorry, no draft or draft crosses

Gossiping and drama are absolutely not tolerated on our farm so that everyone can enjoy our respectful, stress-free facility at all times. Board ranges from $500 to $800+, depending on if pasture/stall board, private/group turnout, or basic/full all-inclusive board.
